The feathers of the Taiwan magpie are combined with the red, white, and blue colors of AIT and abstract representations of the magpie's wings, head, eyes, beak, and feet are integrated into the jersey. The sleeves evoke bird wings in a sky blue, as if the rider were taking off as in flight. The jersey's back represents Taiwan's mountainous landscape with the pockets including representations of landmarks from all over Taiwan. A bicycle wheel and a bike chain are fully incorporated into a custom logo for the American Institute in Taiwan.
